Join Homestead National Monument of America's historian, Jonathan Fairchild for "Foundation Documents: The Declaration of Independence and the Homestead Act ."
This program will feature a group reading of the Declaration of Independence followed by a discussion on the connection between the Declaration of Independence and the Homestead Act of 1862.
Following the talk, musician Michael Murphy will perform a set of songs. Michael performs a wide range of music styles, from folk and bluegrass to Native American flute.
This program begins at 7 p.m. at the Homestead Education Center and is free.
